Premier Shop commission discount ends

Through October 31 a Premier Shop takes 10% off its tier rate, so 5% becomes 4.5%. From November 1 the tier alone sets the rate; the badge and its other perks stay.

Effect. A Premier Shop on 7.5% pays 7.5% instead of 6.75%.

Flat Rate Box subsidy ends

whatnot says the Flat Rate option stays at a higher, unpublished rate after November 1. Sellers moving heavy items under a shipping cap should re-check the cap before then.

Effect. Heavy bundles get more expensive. Amount unpublished.

What actually changes on November 1, 2026?
Two things. Premier Shops lose 10% off their commission rate, so a Premier Shop on 8% goes from an effective 7.2% back to 8%. And whatnot's subsidy on the $12.99 Flat Rate Box ends, so heavy bundles cost more. Commission tiers, the 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee and the $1,500 cap stay the same.
I am not a Premier Shop. Does anything change for me?
Your commission stays the same, set by your tier and category. If you ship Flat Rate Boxes, you'll pay more for them. Otherwise, November 1 leaves you alone. Most of the worry in seller groups is about a discount most sellers never had.
How much will the Flat Rate Box cost after November 1?
whatnot hasn't published it, only that the option stays at a higher rate. Anyone quoting a figure is guessing, so this page shows what you spend today. Before the date, check your shipping caps: a cap set when a heavy box cost $12.99 will start eating the difference.
Can I keep the Premier Shop discount?
No. It ends for every Premier Shop on the same day. The badge and the programme's other benefits stay.
Should I raise my prices?
For a Premier Shop, the change is 10% of your commission: on an 8% rate, 0.8% of sales. On a $50 card that's 40 cents. One refund or one mispriced case costs more, so it's a weak reason to reprice on its own.
Is anything else coming?
whatnot says dimensional carrier adjustments (re-measures on packages over a cubic foot) will reach sellers later in 2026, on top of the weight re-weighs it already passes on. No date yet.
