Transaction Type

Order Earnings, Order Refund, Tips, Shipping Charge. Decides which bucket a row lands in.

Transaction Amount

What moved to your balance. Summed, it's net to balance.

Post Coupon Price

The item price after a seller-funded coupon. Gross sales and the commission basis.

Buyer Paid

Item plus buyer shipping plus buyer tax. The processing basis, and the input to the fee check.

Commission Fee, Payment Processing Fee

The two whatnot fees, per order.

Tax on Commission, Tax on Payment Processing Fee

Sales tax on fees in a handful of states.

Shipping Fee

Seller-paid shipping, and the label on a giveaway.

Livestream ID and Title

Groups orders into shows. Blank means the marketplace.

Order Placed At UTC

Show hours and the hour-of-day chart, converted to your time zone.

Buyer Name, Buyer State

Top buyers, repeat buyers, and where orders ship.

Shipment ID

Orders that ship together, for the bundle count.

Product Category, Buy Format, Sale Type

Categories, auction versus Buy It Now, flash sales, giveaways.

Cost of Goods

Only when the listing had Cost Per Item. Profit on those orders.

Ledger Transaction ID

Removes duplicates when you drop the same week twice.

Questions

Is my report uploaded anywhere?

No. JavaScript in this tab reads the file, and nothing goes to a server. Close the tab and it's gone. whatROI only stores a report when you sign in and import it.

Which files does this read?

Two. The Seller Weekly Orders Report, from Finances then Statements & Reports on whatnot.com, has every fee on completed orders. The per-show Show Report lists every order, including ones that never paid; you export it from the show's sidebar in Seller Hub. The Ledger CSV won't work: it has net amounts only.

What is the Show Report and where do I get it?

Sign in at whatnot.com in a browser, open Seller Hub then Shipments, pick the show in the All Shows & Marketplace dropdown, click Open Sidebar on the right, scroll to Show Actions and click Export Show Report (CSV). whatnot names it live-<livestream id>.csv, and the analyzer reads the show id from that name. The same file saved from Numbers or Excel works too.

Why are the show report's fees estimates?

The show report has no fee, shipping or tax columns. The analyzer applies the published schedule for your region and category, plus your shipping and tax settings. Monday's weekly report has the real fees to the cent, and the analyzer reads it too.

Why do failed payments matter?

A failed payment is a win that never became money. Only the show report lists them; the weekly report, Ledger and analytics leave them out. In the sample show, about one order in ten never paid. That's the gap between the total on stream and the payout.

Why do the totals differ from whatnot's analytics?

Analytics on whatnot.com are estimates and lag a day or two. The report lists transactions completed Monday to Sunday UTC, so a Sunday night show can land in next week's file. whatnot says statements, the Ledger and the 1099-K are the record.

Why does a refund from an old show show up this week?

Refunds land in the week they're processed, as a negative Order Refund row with the original order ID. The analyzer takes it off the original show's net.

What are the Shipping Charge rows?

Post-sale label adjustments, like a carrier re-weigh or a wrong weight tier. They can arrive weeks later, and they're the only per-order shipping cost the report shows.

Where is the label cost per order?

No whatnot export includes it. When the buyer pays shipping, you never see the label. When you pay, your portion appears as Shipping Fee.

How are show hours worked out?

From the first paid order to the last, plus fifteen minutes each side. Treat it as a minimum. In whatROI you can set the real start and end per show.

What does the fee check compare?

Commission plus processing on each paid order, recomputed from the published schedule (region, category, cap and sale date), against the two fee columns in the file. Sales tax on fees is left out.

Can I drop several weeks at once?

Yes, as many as you like. Duplicate rows are removed by ledger transaction ID, so re-adding a week never double counts.

Why is there no profit?

The report only has a cost when the listing had Cost Per Item filled in, and most sellers skip it. whatROI puts the cost on the lot you bought and spreads it by rule, so every sale shows profit.
