From September 21, 2026, your whatnot commission depends on what you sold in the previous four weeks. Before that, almost everyone paid one rate. Now there are seven rungs, each category group falls at its own pace, and this week's rate was set by a period that has already closed.

The full ladder
US rates. Each row shows the four-week sales total that opens the tier, and the commission on the item price once you're on it. Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia have their own thresholds. Japan has no tiers.

Sports and TCG move least: 8.00% down to 6.50% across the ladder. Fashion and the general “Other” group move furthest, to 4.50% and 4.00%. For clothing, sneakers or general collectibles, tiers are worth several times more than for cards.
What a rung is worth
A $50.00 sports card, with $5.00 buyer-paid shipping and 8% sales tax. The buyer pays $59.00. whatnot takes $4.00 at Standard and $3.25 at Tier 6.

Holding Tier 6 takes $500,000.00 of sales every four weeks. The first rung is easier: $15,000.00 in four weeks gets you Tier 1 at 7.75%, a quarter of a point.
For most card sellers, the tier is a small lever. Processing on that one sale is $2.01, more than double the whole ladder, and it's charged on shipping and tax too. Stock cost, shipping you absorbed and refunds all matter more than your rung.
How the four weeks work
Periods are 28 days, back to back. Every seller's first one opened on September 21, 2026, including sellers from the Sell More, Earn More test on a different cycle. Sales inside a period earn the rate for the next one.
So a strong December earns a January rate, after the shows that earned it are over. Pushing sales to reach a rung only pays if you'd have made those sales anyway.
Your charged rate
Seller Hub shows your earned tier. It doesn't show the rate charged on each order, and the two can differ. Promotional rates have a defined scope, and live sales follow the show's category. Two shows in one week can have different rates.

November 1
Premier Shops pay 10% less commission than their tier through October 31, 2026. From November 1 the discount ends, so a Premier Shop on Standard goes from an effective 7.20% back to 8.00% on Sports and TCG. whatnot's Flat Rate Box subsidy ends the same day. Expect both in that week's numbers.
