What needs you
Decisions lists what the app shouldn't decide for you, each with a one-click answer. The number in the navigation is how many are waiting.
Your answers change how whatROI books what whatnot did. Nothing changes on whatnot.
The five tabs
- Unmatched
- Sales with no cost, grouped so one answer covers every sale of the same thing. The biggest queue at first, and the one that changes your figures most.
- Fee checks
- Orders where whatnot charged more than its published schedule. Accept the charge, which teaches the app it was right, or take it up with whatnot.
- Negative margin
- Sales that lost money. It might be a mistake, a $1 start that went nowhere, or a wrong cost.
- Refunds
- Refunded sales waiting for you to say what happened to the item.
- Alerts
- Anything else: a lot sold past its count, an import with unknown columns, a figure that stopped making sense.
Refunded items
A refund can end three ways, and each books differently. Only you know which happened.
- Back in stock
- The item came back and you can resell it. Its cost is released and the unit goes back on the shelf.
- Written off
- The item is gone and you absorb it. The cost stays expensed.
- Not returned
- The buyer kept it and got a refund anyway. The cost stays expensed.
Until you answer, the refund waits in the queue and the sale's cost stays put. Fees whatnot billed back are already counted: a refund costs you the buyer's shipping and the processing fee even when the item comes home.
Fee checks work because whatROI recomputes every sale's fees.
