whatROI Live: profit on every bid
A Chrome extension for Pro. It prices every bid against your own cost while the auction runs.

What it does
whatROI Live is a Chrome extension that comes with Pro. It sits beside your show on whatnot.com. For the item on the block, it shows your profit at the current bid. That figure counts what the item cost you.
- Profit at this bid
- Bid, less commission at your tier, processing on what the buyer pays, any shipping you cover, and your cost.
- Break-even
- The lowest bid that loses nothing. Below it the panel turns red.
- Your margin
- The bid that clears the margin you set. Above it the panel turns blue.
- Floor
- The floor from your lineup, when you planned the show in whatROI.
- Sold before
- The middle and last price this item fetched in your shows over six months.
With seconds left and the bid under break-even, the panel flashes and can beep. You still have time to run it back or talk the room up.
Install and connect
Install the extension
Download whatroi-live.zip and unzip it. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder. Once it's in the Chrome Web Store, you'll install it from there instead.Connect it
Open Live in whatROI and press Connect this browser. Nothing to copy or type.Open your show
Go to your show on whatnot.com. The panel appears on the right. Drag it anywhere.
Watching your own show from the same whatnot account works best. Stream from your phone and watch on the computer.
Where the costs come from
From your products and lots, matched the way your weekly report is. A listing called "Pack of 2 dumplings #14" finds the product called "Pack of 2 dumplings". The number after # is ignored.
When a listing has no match, find the product in the panel and pick it. whatROI keeps that link. That listing lands on the product, at your cost, every time, including in tonight's report.
You can also type a cost straight into the panel. It stays on that computer for that listing. Add it in Costs to keep it for good.
The show so far
The Show tab counts every sale as it happens. You get profit, profit per hour, failed payments and anything that sold under cost. Export it as a CSV whenever you like.
These are estimates from the live feed. Your Show Report or weekly report settles the exact figures when you import it.
What it reads and sends
It reads the auction on the whatnot page you have open: the item, the bid, the timer and sales. That stays on your computer.
It talks to whatroi.com for two things: your costs, and any link you make. It never logs in to whatnot, places a bid or changes your show. Disconnect a browser in Live and it stops at once.
